GREEK REVIVAL
Greek Revival is a style of architecture that includes painted white columns inspired by the white marble used in ancient Greek temples and became one of the signature elements of Greek Revival architecture.
Some other features you will find are that the door normally includes a decorative crown supported by those white columns.
Also, the windows on
the front are symmetrically balanced and the front door is usually placed under
a window.
They are probably long gone now but, newly built Greek revival homes would also include double – hung sashes. And those windows us
are usually placed in
adjacent pairs.
